Kiton makes the most expensive ready-to-wear tailoring in Naples and almost nobody searches the name on eBay, so its sport coats sell for a tenth of retail. That is the whole story of this page. The pieces are real, the sellers are mostly estate and consignment, and the only risks are fit and the occasional worn lining.

How the market runs
Cashmere sport coats are the find. An eight-thousand-dollar Kiton in camel cashmere, graded Excellent, sells for six hundred because the buyer who knows what it is has not seen it yet. The ledger lists them when they surface in a real size.
Suits go for even less relative to retail but are harder to fit: a 52R jacket with 36-inch trousers has to fit both ends of you. Ask for the shoulder, chest, waist and inseam before you offer, and budget for a tailor.
Fakes are rare. Nobody counterfeits a brand the mass market has not heard of. Misattribution is the risk instead: a Kiton fabric tag in another maker's jacket, or a dealer guessing the size from a worn label.

How to read a Kiton listing

The interior label reads Kiton, usually with Napoli. The size label carries an Italian and often a US size, like 52R or 42R. If the listing gives only a letter size, ask for the label photo.
Look at the buttonholes and the collar. Kiton's are hand-sewn and slightly irregular. Machine-perfect buttonholes on a jacket at this price point are a reason to ask more questions.
Tailoring tolerates Very good. A mark inside the lining is fine; a moth hole in cashmere is not, whatever the grade.
Measurements over sizes. Ask for shoulder seam to seam, chest pit to pit and back length. Neapolitan shoulders are soft and sit narrower than American ones in the same size.
Seller rating is the check. Almost no Kiton sits under eBay's Authenticity Guarantee because so little of it is listed; a long-standing seller with returns is what stands behind the piece.

Why is used Kiton so cheap on eBay?
Because the buyers who know what it is are few and the search volume for the name is tiny. Estate and consignment sellers price to move. The result is the widest gap between retail and resale in the whole quiet-luxury category, and the reason Kiton is often the deepest cut on the ledger.
Is second-hand Kiton faked?
Rarely. Counterfeiters copy what sells in volume, and Kiton does not. The real risk is misattribution, a Kiton cloth tag inside another maker's jacket or a size guessed from a worn label, so ask for a photo of the interior label and the size tag.
What condition is acceptable for a Kiton sport coat?
Very good or better. Tailoring is built to be worn and a mark inside the lining is not a reason to pass. Moth damage, fabric wear at the cuffs or a stain on the cloth fails whatever the seller's grade says.
